About Keri Hilson

Keri Hilson in an American vocalist. She was born on 5 October 1982. Nineteen year later, she joined a song-writing group The Clutch. There was great demand for lyric writing at the time, evident enough from the list of artists the group has collaborated with, including Britney Spears, Ciara, Ludacris and Usher. This, however, was not enough to satisfy the ambitious girl from Georgia. In the meantime, she had completed her theater degree at Oxford College of Emory University. But now Keri decided to make her name as a singer. This dream came swiftly true and in 2009 she successfully released her album “In a Perfect World…”, which made it to the tops of music charts, including Top 5 of Billboard’s 200 Chart. Since then, Keri’s musical career went very quickly. She started lending her voice to songs by other artists. You can hear in “Medicine” by Plies, “Everything”, Everyday, Everywhere” by Fabulous, Nasa’s “Hero”, Sean Paul’s “Hold My Hand” and Chris Brown’s “Superhuman”. But Keri Hilson did not rest on her achievements. Already in 2010 he released her second album “No Boys Allowed”. And certainly not her last…

Keri Hilson is one of these artists whose lives are filled with songs and music from early childhood. Add  humanistic and theatrical skills, and what you get is nothing less than an original artist of many talents. It’s worth noting that Keri started her adventure with muKeri Hilsonsic at a relatively early stage in life. She was just a child when her parents first enrolled her in singing and piano classes. She was so talented that on turning fourteen she joined the By D’Signe girlsband. Later she completed her theater degree, where she had learned how to move on the stage, what to pay attention to, and how to communicate with the audience. She quickly put her newly-acquired knowledge and experience into practice. First, she joined The Clutch, a group of songwriters that has written lyrics for such famous artists as Britney Spears, to give just one example. At the same time, she would lend her voice to R&B and hip-hop artists. Her debut as an independent singer was just a matter of time. Given her rich experience in the music industry and solid stage skills, Keri was just doomed to a solo career. Her debut album “In a Perfect World…”, released 2009, raced up to best-selling music charts. The release, combining R&B and hip-hop, was soon to be certified Gold. In the wake of her success, Keri released her second album. The music industry heavyweights Polow da Do and Timbaland were involved in the production.

Universal Music Group, responsible for the release of Keri’s first album “In a Perfect Worlds”, must have been amazed at the its tremendous popularity. The debut turned out to be a great success, especially since its release had been postponed for two years. The company claimed there ad been cost saving considerations… Yet the album has brought significant profits… But let us return to the promotional singles. The first one, according to Keri Hilson herself, was to be “Happy Juice”. Her plans were thwarted by the record label. The song not only was not released as a single, but has not even made it to the final version of the album. The first single was chosen to be “Energy”, a ballad subsequently aired in radio stations of North America and New Zealand. The song also appeared in several European music charts but, surprisingly enough, it had a rather cold welcome in the United Kingdom, Keri’s home country. Several months later “Return the Favor” was released, featuring guest vocals by Timbalad. It went rather unnoticed in the United States, but was a great success in Europe, including the UK. The third single, featuring Lil Wayne, proved a perfect choice, winning popularity in the United States and New Zealand. It was also Keri’s first single to make it to the Top 10.
